UK Passport News
PASSPORT UPDATES. New digital technology is being introduced for all UK passports issued from September 2005, which means that passport photos will have to meet stricter quality standards. Photo booths are being upgraded and those that meet the new high resolution standards will have a sticker indicating this. The UK Passport Agency has guidelines for taking a good passport photograph, at www.ukpa.gov.uk It also has an advice line - 0870 521 0410 - which is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Passport fees will rise slightly in September 2005, and then are due to rise substantially once biometric passports are introduced.
