Bruce Ruffman Joined Norseman in 1981 Educated at N.P.S and Sedbergh School. Played every sport going. Passed only 5 ‘O’ levels and left school at age 17 to do a 3 year management course at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London. Returned to Newcastle after an eye-opening year. Coached Rugby at Ascham House Prep School in Gosforth for a term and joined the Travel Industry in July 1969. Worked for 10 years for Norman Richardson Travel in the city centre, a further 3 years for Turista Travel. Created Norseman Travel in November 1981. Sit on the North East Regional Committee for ABTA Married to Jane ,who also works in this office. Claim to Fame?! Whilst playing 1st XV Rugby at Sedbergh , my captain became the future captain of Scotland , Mike Biggar!! Next door, friend and neighbour to the departed Newcastle United player Christian Bassedas,who is now director of football at velez sarsfield in buenos airies,and currently unbeaten at the top of the argentine league.
