Norseman Travel was established in 1981 by Bruce Ruffman. Norseman Travel Ltd has grown to be one of the north east’s leading independent travel agents. Our Business Services department employs six members of staff, combining with our retail department to turn over in excess of £6 million annually. We specialise in comprehensive travel arrangements, from Tube to First Class multi sector itineraries. Deploying the latest technology, we can furnish your business with a friendly, professional and efficient service, designed to meet the demands of the todays business passenger. Over the last three years, we have invested more than £150,000 in new technology, staff, and redevelopment of our offices. We now have one of the most modern travel management systems in the country. Consequently, we can provide you with detailed management report on your travel arrangements with us, whilst maintaining the flexibility to integrate with your purchase order system. A variety of different Management Reports can be provided by Alastair R uffman, our Company Secretary and one of our Directors. He would be happy to discuss these with you, and come up with a comprehensive reports that suits your requirements. As well as ensuring that you have access to the established brand names, our independence means we can choose from thousands of reputable suppliers, ensuring that we can deliver on service, quality and price. All the staff’s PCs are linked permanently to the internet, allowing access to a huge range of products, and this, together with e-mail facilities ensures our clients are given prompt attention and the very latest information. Among our clients are The Sage Group PLC, Sanderson Weatherall, Ernst and Young, Convergys Customer Management, Kilfrost, and many other leading firms, both local and national. what we can offer OUR TEAM Our business travel team have more than eighty years of collective experience; Lisa, Sue, Trudie, Carol, Tracy, Karina, offer an efficient and friendly service. The team work Monday to Friday, between 9.00 and 5.30, however, our office is staffed until 2.00 on Saturdays should you have any urgent requests. Delivery We currently offer free ticket delivery to your home or office with our local area providing your orders are placed before 12 midday for same day delivery. For urgent orders, we will of course make every effort to meet your delivery requirements. We can arrange Special delivery or couriers if you are further afield. visas and passports For travel which may require a visa, or for your passport renewal, we use an agency in London who can obtain the above quickly. Take a look at the Visa section on our site. Billing and Trading Terms Our technology ensures that invoices are received within two days of ticket issue. Payment is due by the 15th of the month following invoice date, and an easy-to-read statement is provided at the end of each month. Refunds are credited promptly. Our accounts department is run by Anne Gray, who would be happy to answer any queries. Depending on the size of the account, we would be pleased to discuss billing in a variety of ways, one of which is by passing on the net cost of purchases and negotiating a monthly management fee. Alternatively, we can supply a list of our current service fees, based on individual transactions. Our managing director, Bruce Ruffman, would be pleased to discuss all of these options with you. Leisure Services Our leisure services team – Alastair and Jane, with Kevin, Kit, Kate, Emily, Garry, Kathleen, – also offer comprehensive travel arrangements, ensuring the highest possible standards of service.
